Ingredients
-
100 g (about 1 cup) Brussels sprouts, halved
-
2 tablespoons honey
-
20 ml soy sauce
-
10 ml vinegar (apple cider or rice)
-
2 tablespoons toasted peanuts
-
5 tablespoons water
-
1 tablespoon vegetable or sesame oil
-
Salt and pepper to taste (optional)
Preparation
-
Wash with filtered water. Rinse Brussels sprouts using water from your Classica® Club WaterSystems filter, then slice in half.
-
First steam. Over medium heat, add the sprouts and water to your Classica® low pot.
-
Cover and time. Place the lid on with the temp tone valve open. Set the digital timer for 8 minutes.
-
Remove and set aside. When the timer goes off, uncover and transfer the sprouts to a bowl.
-
Sear and caramelize. In the same pot (uncovered), add oil and return the sprouts. Let them brown slightly.
-
Add the glaze. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Cook for 2 minutes.
-
Finish with peanuts. Add the toasted peanuts right before serving to keep their crunch.
-
Serve beautifully. A perfect side or a flavorful plant-based snack.
Classica® Tips
-
Filtered water keeps ingredients clean and flavor-forward — every time.
-
The low pot makes it easy to go from steam to sear in one place.
-
For extra aroma, finish with toasted sesame oil or a dash of chili flakes.
